MELIORA SURVEYS is an independent surveyor’s company created in 2011.
We are based in France (Bordeaux) and we cover primarily Western France (la façade atlantique) and Northern Spain Atlantic ports.
We intervene occasionally in Black Sea west coast ports (Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey), also taking missions to other destinations as the need may be.
The company’s founder and owner, Ivan VASSILEV has spent >25 years in the industry as marine insurance claims handler and in-house surveyor. He worked for a big shipping company (NAVIGATION MARITIME BULGARE – IMO n° 0101856), then with major P&I club representatives (KALIMBASSIERIS MARITIME) and since 2011 he is providing services as independent marine and cargo surveyor. He is experienced in all types of marine and cargo surveys, ship inspections and hatch cover surveys. Qualified Sherlog TA operator. Fluently spoken languages: English, French, Russian, Greek and Bulgarian (mother tongue).
